Johann Adam, Anna Barbara, Johann and Catherine Alsenz arrived abt 1846 on the Talisman from Oberingelheim Germany. Adam & Johann both in Mexican War. Adam was killed. Johann and family, along with mother, Barbara, moved to Kansas in abt 1866.

Johann (John) married Sophia Hermine Hoffmann, dau of Wilhelmina Christina Krause and Peregrin Hoffmann also from Germany to Comal County. Do not know date of their arrival. Their son Leo Hoffmann, was Mayor of New Braunfels April 1904 to April 1906. Both Wilhelmina and Peregrin buried in New Braunfels.
