Thank you Sarah.

I just found some interesting information looking at the census.  My great grandparents lived three households from Henry Marion Smith.  I found where Henry Smith lived on Cibolo Creek, maybe this is a clue to where they lived.  Henry Smith is buried where Camp Bullis is located.  The Smith Cemetery near Bergheim is named for the Smith Family.  My Great Uncle John Wiley Taylor is buried there.  There must be a connection between these families.

Ancestry.com says
You are here: Search > Census > U.S. Census > 1880 United States Federal
Census > Texas > Comal > Precinct 3
1880 United States Federal Census
Please choose an enumeration district in Precinct 3:
District 40 Clay Township, incl. villages of Genoa and Martin

Which is news to me!
Sarah

Could someone tell me where in Comal County was Precinct 3 in the 1880
Census? My family was living in Precinct 3 and I would like to know.

Thank you,
