There is another prize possession on my wall, an 1874 Harper's Weekly double page spread, "From the Old to the New World - German Immigrants for New York Embarking on a Hamburg Steamer"
You can see it on my webpage at
http://www.tribalpages.com/tribe/browse?userid=tinakailer&view=26&rand=208107&id=1003317
My grandfather's Kleins arrived in 1844, but my grandmother's parents arrived in 1880, not sure what ship. I can almost pick Tina out in the engraving. I just discovered the slide show of the Kailers of Texas is backwards, if you want to see it, sort by name and click Slideshow, when The End appears as the first page go left, not right!
