"Neglected German Cemeteries" is the second part of my presentation at the GTHS convention October 9th. I'm working on it NOW because I'm going to be gone, so please do not dally if you want your cemetery represented. ;-)
It just dawned on me that I should compile a list to present to the GTHS, maybe they will get a campaign started to clean them up. If you know of any please post to the mailing list. Now I don't want a rambling paragraph, I don't have time to decipher it, no offense.
Please submit in this format:
1. Name of the cemetery
2. Town and county
3. Cemetery owners and contact
4. Brief description of neglect (like 2 lines)
5. Overall photo of cemetery showing neglect
6. Two photos of significant German headstones, preferably in German.
FIRST take a look at the cemeteries I already have at
http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/listing/user/texas_cemeteries
If you can expand on the owners and contacts that would be great.
Thanks,
Sarah
