you can call or write them. They don't seem to have an email address. I
wish they did!
I have copies of a few years of their burials, these are partially
indexed inside the cemetery records.
The records give the cemetery, the name of the deceased, death and
burial dates and sometimes more info but
not always. So I check the name out in a cemetery file and either add
any extra data or find the person has no stone at all anymore. If they
don't then I put the info in and add the Wise Funeral Home notations.
I still have oodles to crossindex..
There is no lack of records to work on. I'm working on the Bonham School
records and the Probate indexes for the Fannin Flashback and then the
marriage records for the website. I have thousands of marriages in the
index which I think I'll have ready in a couple of months.
There still are too many cemeteries undone. But Willow Wild is getting a
complete record. Turns out the cemetery didn't even have full records so
the volunteer is making a set for both our website as well as for the
cemetery !
It's going to be great.
Now if we can just get volunteers who live right around Bonham to do
more courthouse records!
As soon as I can I will get microfilms and put them in the Family
History Center and see if I can do more abstracts that way. The problem
I have is money of course! I am in a car shortage situation due to
family problems over the past 7 months. Between a job loss and a car
wreck the family is in a pinch. But that is giving me time to work
through a large box of the clippings I 've wanted time for (for both
Grayson and Fannin) and the huge marriage database.
There is never a lost of something needing to be done!
