Hello, my name is Alfred McClure

I have connections to Fayette Co. through my 3rd Great Grand Father, Asa
McClure.
Asa came to Texas in 1837 and received a Class 3 land grant of 640 acres,
with the certificate being issued on January 13 1840.

The brothers and sisters of Asa are:
Mary (Polly) McClure who married Stephen Scallorn
Alice McClure who married William Scallorn
Elizabeth McClure who married Noah Karnes
Levi McClure who married (1) Elizabeth Archer, (2) Denisa Harrison
Asa McClure was married to Susan Archer
Ada McClure was married to William Faires

I have been told bits and pieces of a story about a log cabin that was
erected in the 1840 - 1850 time period and is suppose to still be inhabited
today. I would love to receive any further info about the McClure's from
Fayette and Bastrop Co. Texas.

We will be having a Family Reunion in Bastrop this year in June, and if any
of you that have any ties to the McClure Family and would like to attend or
share info with me would be greatly appreciated.

Where is Plum Grove, Pin Oak and Black Jack Springs Texas?

Thanks for all the help that is forth coming.

Alfred L. McClure
