To the List (Harrison Co., Texas) -I've had few private emails about
Hendersons. To save time, of responding privately to each email I've rcvd:

What I'm looking for is a man named Henderson who shot & killed Alhamon
Gholson in Santa Fe, NM, and stole $600.00 in gold from him. Henderson then
"fled to Illinois."

Alhamon was 18 yrs old when he was murdered by Henderson, and was the son of
Samuel Gholson who lived in Harrison Co.1840's.

Samuel was involved with the Santa Fe Trail & merchandising before he moved
to TX in 1834. Samuel knew this Henderson fellow, and probably met him in
Kentucky 1820's, or Missouri.

Samuel's youngest son, Albert (my 2nd great), said that: "the murder was
avenged.." No details on this.

Samuel was a Kentucky long-hunter in KY, and a Ky. rifleman in the War of
1812, so imagine he found Henderson.

So, does anyone have a Henderson family member who was shot & killed, prior
to 1830, in KY or Illinois? This Henderson probably had a family...

I'm not trying to "hunt down" this Henderson...I'm just interested in the
men who were involved.

P.S. I already have histories of the Trail, where it originated, etc.
