I am also researching the B. W. Davis family. B. W. Davis married nancy
Mendith, Nov. 6, 1843 in San Augustine Co., Tx. I have found them on the
1860 Census of Henderson Co., Tx.
B. W. Davis, 53, male, Farmer, 600, 600, South Carolina
Nancy A., 33, femaile, Dosmetic, LA.
B. W., 13, male LA.
Susan W., 13, female LA.
Manerva H., 10, female LA.
Henerretta B. 7, female LA.
John W., 9, male LA.
Georgiona B. 5, female LA.
Milliard F., 3, female LA.
California, 3/12 female Tx. She married Joshua George Massingill
in Tyler, Tx., June 17, 1879. They had 8 children. I have all of their
children and descendants. They are my great grandparents. They lived in
Hamilton Co., Tx. and Coryell Co., Tx. and are buried in Murphree Cemetery
in Hamilton Co., Tx.

Then on the 1870 Census of Henderson Co., Tx. I found the children living
with Benjamin Davis, 22, male, farmer, 320, LA.
Jane, 26, female, keeping house, Ala.
Eliza, 3, female, Tx.
Martha, 2, female Tx.
Blue, William, 12, male, Farm Laborer, Tx.
Davis, Manerva, 18, female LA.
John, 16, male Farm Laborer, LA.
Belzora 14, female LA.
Georgia A. 12, female LA.
Milliard, 11, female LA.
California 9, female Tx.
William J. 7, male Tx.

John W. Davis married Alley M. Smith, Mar. 2, 1873 Henderson Co., Tx.
Minerva Davis married Monroe Wigger, Dec. 24, 1874 Henderson Co., Tx.
