Hi,
After reading your message, I could not help but wonder if the school you are inquiring about is the Woodlawn Female College. I learned that my great-aunt attended in the 1880's, so I investigated, and contacted a local historian who sent me a photo, and some background info. The school was built in 1866 and it looks like a big 2 story home of the day. It was dismantled in the early 1950's to make way for brick houses.
