Who said they were in Texas? Look closer at the birth locales for the eldest children. Find this family in 1880 AL-Colbert-Saints-District 42-Image 3. Search for "Gorge Russel" age 25. The 1890 census was destroyed by fire, but they were probably not in Texas for that event? That is confirmed via death certificate of Ira Ruby Stone (7 Jul 1891 - 11 Aug 1954).
