Hi, I guess if he's born in 1884 he's not my grandmother's brother, but I think all Winters are connected. My gg grandfather's name was Henry Figinwinters and he was in the war of 1812. He dropped the Figin part (thank goodness). My gg grandmother had a difficult time getting his pension (about $5.00 a mo.) until she proved he was the same person. She came to TX after he died to visit her kids who had migrated here and she died in Hamilton Co., TX. I have been told that perhaps Henry's father was Stofel Figinwinters of PA. Stofel is Dutch for Christofer, I was told. Really, Henry and wife Sarah Jane Renfro are as far back as I gone.
