I am related to the Higgins also. My gggrandfather was Sam Higgins son of Newton Green Higgins, nephew to John Holcomb Higgins(Pinks dad). My grandmother was born in Lampasas, TX and we still have family there. I know that one of the Higgins married a Baker. I have some data on that. Newt and John were born in DeKalb, GA & Philomen "Dock" I think Marrietta . Pink Higgins was born in Macon. They all left there around 1854 for Texas.

We may have some common interests if you would like to email me perhaps we could share notes.
