Janis, Thanks for the information. I happened to be near Lexington recently and found the Mesquite Cemetery off 112. Did not find a Jens Sorensen either. The court house doesn't have any records of death or birth prior to 1903. So I feel like I've hit a roadblock in finding any information re Jens' death. Family records indicate he was thrown from a horse and died from internal injuries in either 1876 or 1877 - no specific date is given.
