The show I am thinking about was before Bonanza. In interviews with Dan Blocker he often mentioned the earlier series (mid to late 50s up until about 1964). The earlier show was suppose to have been about John R, AB & Bill Blocker.
Dan Blocker mentioned in an article in TV Guide that his ggrandfather was related. Don't know exactly how. I believe the TV show was called Dynasty, not to be confused with the later show, a evening soap opera type called Dynasty.
It is said that John R Blocker was the world's largest cattle baron. I have the Trail Drivers of Texas.

My maternal grandfather's mother was Sarah Ruth Blocker. My grandfather, Peter Ault, also went on trail drives with the Blockers and a cousin said that her father stated my grandfather had lived with them for a while. Sarah apparently had an Indian mother. Now, I believe my grandfather was portrayed on one of those shows.

It is very likely my grandfather knew Felix Shaw. Sarah and her children are censused in Travis County in 1880. My grandfather raised his family in Manchaca. He came from Jewish forebears on his father's side. His father was Henry Ault. However, I believe the name was originally Altman. Henry was a small child when they immigrated probably through the Port of New Orleans in 1853 from Prussian Poland.

I had an aunt that worked for the telephone company in Beaumont for many years. There was a telethon some place with Dan Blocker and some of the telephone operators from Beaumont helped work it. They came back and told my aunt that Dan Blocker said he had a cousin working for the telephone company in Beaumont named Willie Mae Ault. That was my aunt's maiden name.
