Funeral Services for S. S. Goodrum Held October 22
Funeral services for Selven Smith (Red) Goodrum were held October 22, at 1 p.m. in the J. M. Day Funeral Home.
Mr. Goodrum was born October 15, 1928 and died October 29, 1965, at age 37.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Andrea Goodrum; four children, Randy, Sandra, Wendy and Christy Goodrum of Madisonville; two sisters, Mrs. Earline Driskill, Shreveport, Louisiana and Mrs. Doris Hines, Bryan and four brothers, Milton Goodrum, Clute; Billy Goodrum, Alvin; and Luther and Leon Goodrum of Houston.
The Rev. Carl S. Stephens, minister of the Friendship Baptist Church of Clute, was the officiating minister, with the Rev. A. N. Todd assisting.
Interment was in the Jozye Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Grady Stephens, George Foster, Billy Hall, Roscoe Mills, Fred Gibson and Roy Shiflett.
