Linda,
I saw that you are working on a McKenzie in Williamson Co.
My great-grandfather's sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" BEARD married a Mr.
McKenzie (don't know first name or where they married).
Would you happen to have any information on this union. They were not
married long enough to have children as far as I know. The marriage took
place in the late 1870s or 1880.

There are other websites, though. Gary Webb & Gloria Mayfield have the
following site of Texas cemetery transcriptions. You can click on
individual county links, or you can use their state search engine:

More and more, I find myself using the search engine <http://www.google.com>;
for genealogy quests, which is how I've found a number of cemetery
transcriptions (and family trees/histories) on private websites. For
example, I have lots of family in North Belton Cemetery, Bell Co. I
searched for "north belton cemetery" and google found an excellent private
website. It is incomplete, but the people continue to work on it and post
more data, for which I am most thankful.

Other resources I use are:

http://www.interment.net/us/index.htm

Bell County researchers got together and most of the cemeteries are now
posted. It would be terrific if we could do the same thing for Milam Co.
