“Funeral is Set for Mrs. Farley Here Saturday”

Mrs. Mary Hewitt Farley, 76, died in Houston at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, will be held Saturday at the Phillips & Luckey Chapel with burial at the IOOF Cemetery. Mrs. Farley was born in Rockdale on Nov. 9, 1887 but moved to Houston 45-years ago. Her parents were the late Mr. & Mrs. D. P. Hewitt of Rockdale. She was married first to Newman P. Stribling who died in 1924. She later married Frank F. Farley. To Mr. & Mrs. Stribling two sons and one daughter were born. Survivors: sons, E. H. Stribling and Newman P. Stribling, Jr., both of Houston; daughter, Miss June Stribling of Houston; sister, Mrs. G. C. Colgate of Houston.
