Cathy Ann Martin

Cathy Ann Martin, 55, of Minerva, died Tuesday, Sept. 10 at her home. Martin has been a resident of Minerva for the past six years. She was born in Little Rock, AR on Jan. 25, 1947 to Glen Nelson Martin and Patricia Bowles.

Martin had been a horse rancher for 27 years. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Rockdale.

Martin is survived by her mother and stepfather, Patricia and Vester L. Crocker of Minerva; two brothers: Ronald M. Martin of Houston and Richard Martin of Provo, UT; one sister: Nancy C. Lamb of Hyde Park, UT; one stepbrother: Randy Crocker of Rockdale; four stepsisters: Betty Crocker of Houston, Vicki Barton of Las Vegas. NV, Debbie Crocker of Cameron and Wanda Smith of Cut and Shoot; and three nieces and four nephews.

The service will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be in the Minerva Cemetery, presided over by Vester L. Crocker, Branch President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rockdale.
