Stone

Harvey G. Stone, 56, of Rockdale, died Sunday, January 11, 2004 at an Austin hospital.

Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 13, 6 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor.

Celebration of Life services were at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004 at Christ Fellowship Church in Taylor with Pastor Jeff Ripple officiating. Burial followed at 3:30 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron.

Mr. Stone was born October 12, 1947 to Hayward and Lucille (Scaff) Stone in Justin, Texas.

He graduated from Justin High School and entered the US Army. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam where he received many medals and citations. After his discharge, he returned to Justin and began working as an inspector of aircraft metal manufacturers.

Mr. Stone married Janice Dees on July 6, 1990 in Fort Worth. The couple lived in Fort Worth and then he retired. In 1998, they moved back to Rockdale. He was a member of Christ Fellowship Church in Taylor.

Preceding him in death were his father, Hayward; a brother, Grady; and his grandparents.

Survivors are: Wife, Janice of Rockdale; sons, Jason Stone and wife Linda, Jeff Stone, all of Fort Worth and Kevin Stone of Chicago, IL; daughter, Hayley Pardee and husband, Brian of Arlington; mother, Lucille Stone of Justin; sister, Linda Whitworth and husband, Doug of Boyd; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Christ Fellowship Church Building Fund, 1517 McLain, Taylor, TX 76574.
