Mirtsching
Clarence Leverd Mirtsching, 81, of Pflugerville died Oct. 26 in an Austin hospital. Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Austin with Pastor Clyde Duder officiating. Burial followed in Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
Mirtsching was born in Georgetown Nov. 11, 1922 to Walter and Louise Mirtsching. He married LaVerne Heintze in August 1947.
He served in the Pacific during WWII, was a founding member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor, worked for Texas Power & Light as a lead test engineer, ran his own successful electronics business, was a charter member and Captain of the Travis County Fire Control, coached baseball teams to championships at Delwood NE Optimist and was a Scoutmaster. He was an Elder and Trustee at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Louise Mirtsching and his brother, Doyle.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne; daughter, Candace Bleeke and husband, Fred; sons, Bervin and wife, Sandra; Warren and wife, Cindy; DeWayne; Derron and wife, Sherry; sister, Verine Mueller; brother, W.M. Mirtsching; and grandchildren, Jay, Mitchell, Matthew, Shea, Sierra, Cameron, Linsey and Christiana.
