To the best of my knowledge there is not an index for the 1880, 1900 or 1910
Smith County, TX Federal Census Records. The Soundex is available for the
1880 Census.

The 1850 and 1860 Smith Co Federal Census Records may be found in the Smith
County TXGenWeb Archives. The 1870 Smith Co Federal Census Records have
been published in a book which is for sale by the East Texas Genealogical
Society.

The 1850 Smith County Slave Schedule is posted on the Smith County TXGenWeb
Project - African-American Page.
