Sand Flat Memorial Service Set June 2

Sand Flat Cemetery Association will have its annual memorial service on June 2 at Antioch Baptist Church at the cemetery, member Jeff Bott said. A worship and remembrance service is set for 11 a.m. followed by a picnic lunch and business meeting. The association maintains the cemetery founded in the mid-1800s.

Donations can be made to Sand Flat Cemetery Association in care of Ted McDowell, 1630 CR 313 West, Tyler, TX 75706-2812.

Annual Sand Flat Association Meeting Announcement

The Annual Sand Flat Cemetery Association Memorial Service is held each
year on the first Sunday of June at Antioch Baptist Church and Sand Flat
Cemetery. Following Church services which begin at 11:00 am, everyone
is invited to bring a picnic lunch to share in fellowship prior to our
Annual Business Meeting that will be held immediately following lunch
at approximately 1:20 p.m.

The Association is a non-profit organization that is funded solely by
friends and relatives of the deceased. It requires a continuous effort
on behalf of the Association to maintain the cemetery to a condition of
which we can all be proud. The cemetery was established in the mid
1800's and is still serving the community to this day.

We hope you will plan to attend all three functions -- the Church
Service, the picnic, and our Annual Business Meeting. We extend a
special invitation to all our community friends to join in our
activities. For those unable to attend, a tax-deductible contribution
may be made to the Sand Flat Cemetery Association and mailed to Ted
McDowell, Secretary-Treasurer, 1630 CR 313, West, Tyler, Texas
75706-2812. For additional information or directions, please call
