Hey, Beth,

This is strange. William McCain's daughter married Goodlett in Tippah Co MS
where her sons were born. She died there & her husband moved to Hempstead Co
AR in the early 1840s. William and the rest of the family moved on to TX
where William gave land for a Cumberland church at Coffeeville which may not
have ever been built. Another of William's daughters Margaret married Andrew
J Laird and had a big family before Margaret died at Coffeeville. I would
have to look up the probate but it seems like Cunliffe married widow McNairy
at Coffeeville. Then he died & Laird married her, causing a big family
fight.

In 1870, William's son Rufus McCain was with the Goodletts in Hempstead Co
at Ozone where they lived. Have no idea where he went from there.
