Thanks for the reply Kathleen. I often check Austin Co., as that is where Patrick's wife Susan COOK was living. Did not realize the Wharton Co. connection until just recently. Do you know if birth certificates are available in Wharton Co. for 1868? Their only child was born that year. Jeff
