Her middle name spelled incorrectly, but Charity "Obeidence" Brown (8 Mar 1874 - 23 Jul 1959) death certificate witnessed by her daughter-Velma Brown Andrew. No mother identified and Charity was supposedly born in Georgia? Jim P. Butts (16 Jul 1872 - 7 Jan 1937) was born in Louisiana and died in McCamey, Upton County. The informant was Nora Butts. She, Nora, gave me fits initially! I thought he had either remarried or there was a previously unknown sister named Nora? In 1930 Upton-McCamey-District 5-Image 39, Nora C. Vaughn(38) enumerated as widowed (lie) and head of household. She was born in MO, pop in AL, and mom in MO. Her kids were Eunice Marie(13) and Bonnie G.(4 6/12). James P. Butts(57) and widowed (lie) identified as Nora's brother. He was born in LA, pop in AL, and mom in MO. Reality, they were inlaws married to Vaughn-siblings. Nora C. Guy married Julius Levi Vaughn, first, then William Frederic Nagel. This story worthy of Jerry Springer!(lol) J. L. !
Vaughn married/remarried Nora C. Butts 25 Mar 1937 in Brewster County. Did Nora and James P. Butts "hook up"?(lol) Julius Levie Vaughn died 16 Apr 1945 in Albuquerque, NM. Wife listed as Nora Nagel! Rose Etta (Vaughn) Butts (25 Aug 1879 - 23 Apr 1960) was born in Alabama and died in Baird, Callahan County per Mrs. C. J. Redwine. She was James P. Butts' widow and Mrs. C. J. Redwine aka Irma V. Butts was their daughter. Rose Ella Butts married Thomas Jefferson Cox 16 Mar 1893. They're found 1900 Eastland-recinct 5-District 59-Image 30. Her birth enumerated as Dec 1870 in LA, pop in GA, and mom unknown. She expired prior to 1910 census but gave birth to several children: Oldren Cornot Cox (9 Jan 1895 - 2 Nov 1963), daughter Alva Hagan (26 Dec 1897 - 22 Sep 1989), Lawrence James Cox (11 Feb 1899 - Nov 1969), Willie Jack Cox (7 Sep 1900 - 1 Jan 1966), Thomas Jefferson Cox, Jr. (2 Jan 1906 - 24 Oct 1986), and James "Jim" Cox (30 May 1907 - 4 Mar 1977).
