Maureen <>, gave you some food for thought, and
some good information about the MONTCALM, and some suggestions of where to
look. Thanks Maureen.

Our database of post 1919 arrivals to Canada, presently has a small hole,
between the end of 1924, and May 1926. If the MONTCALM remained consistant
in her sailings, then she would have been sailing from Liverpool, to
Quebec/Montreal during the Summer months, and into St. John NB during the
Winter months. Now ... the 28th of April is right on the "cusp" of the
opening of the St. Lawrence seaway, but my hunch would be that it was a
Quebec/Montreal arrival.

Our main database covers ships arrivals, up to the year 1919 (with
passenger manifest reference numbers). Passenger manifests for the years
1919 to 1935 will be made available soon. The National Archives of Canada
(NAC) has just
recently received them from the Department of Immigration. They are still
in the process of preparing them for the public. I will post the notice of
their availability here on TheShipsList, as soon as they are released.

Here are the years and ports currently covered by the holdings at the NAC
in Ottawa.

QUEBEC 1865 to 1919
HALIFAX 1881 to 1919
ST.JOHN 1900 to 1918
NORTH SYDNEY 1906 to 1919
VANCOUVER 1905 to 1919
VICTORIA &
PACIFIC Ports 1905 to 1919

NEW YORK 1906 to 1919 The lists for these two include only the names
EASTERN US 1905 to 1921 of passengers intending to proceed to Canada.

Good Luck,

Sue
