You are lucky to live in Manitoba, as the Provincial Archives of Manitoba,
Winnipeg, Manitoba, have all the passenger list microfilms in their
holdings. You said that you had searched there unsuccessfully. What did
you search?

I believe that the ship you are researching is the Allan Line ship NESTORIAN.

I searched our database, and found _no_ April arrivals to Quebec in 1887,
however, there were 8 Halifax and/or St. John arrivals. Seven ships
departed Liverpool, and one from London, unfortunately none of them was the
NESTORIAN. There were other Allan Line ships, but none of them matched
either of your dates! Don't give up yet! :) The NOVA SCOTIAN arrived on
26th April, and departed Liverpool (and then Londonderry) about the 13th
April.
Now ... the NESTORIAN did make 4 voyages to Canada in 1887, and _one_ did
have an April departure. As you can see though, it doesn't quite fit your
dates.

Did you try this film during your search? The MF # I have provided is the
