While we are on the subject of ships sinking between Europe and USA, maybe
someone may have info on the "Colombo".
The "Colombo" was a Hull Steamer on the way to New York when lost with 40
crew including my great Grand Uncle Captain William Laver. This was
apparently in approximately 1876. As this date fits into the date block
under discussion, does anyone have any info on this vessel?
