Subject: [TSL] Arrivals in Port Huron, Michigan

Hello ShipsList:

I have a great grandfather (Peder Olson Midstokke) who emigrated from Karmøy,
Norway in 1885. His naturalization papers say that he landed in Port Huron,
Michigan. Would it be correct to assume that this probably meant that he came
through Canada, and if so would this mean Quebec?

I'm trying to identify the ship that he and his sister sailed on and
clarifying where they really arrived would help me in this search.
