Our family stories indicate that my grandparents (Patrick Bernard Moynahan and
Mary Ann Collins) emigrated from Queenstown to Boston in April 1880 on the
same vessel without meeting each other until 2 years later here in the USA.
The LDS/FHC does give the same vessel names (!) regarding both grandparents
as: "Tarika" or "Spartika". So far, I am unable to find any reference to a
vessel under either name and the closest I come is the "Tarifa"
(1865-1899).
On his naturalization papers my grandfather gives his date of arrival as
28APR1881 though other records indicate "April 1880". Any help in getting out
of this "rut" would be greatly appreciated.
