In Peter Coldham's book "Bonded Passengers to America", John Nelson arrived
1761 having been sentenced to 'tranpostation' in Northhampshire. No ship or
Jacob Ludwick Kershaw arrived in Pa around 1772 from Rotterdam indentured to
Phillip Wager and his assigns in Philadelphia as a servant for 4 years. It
also states the amount of 19.7.6 (19 pounds 7 shillings 6 pence) but it does
not explain what for - perhaps that's what Phillip paid for his boundage. On
23 Sept 1773, the same Jacob was bound to Stephen & Joseph Sewell and their
assigns in Philadelphia as servant for 4 years for 20 pounds.
I could find no Kershaws arriving in South Carolina.
