Subject: [TSL] Additions to Germans to America Series

Would like to know if the authors of the GERMANS TO AMERICA Series plan
on releasing additions to the GTA volumes? I saw a brief mention of this
in a recent posting and would like to get all the details. Have the
authors made any announcement of this work? How soon is this to be
released?

Sounds like a great idea since there were so many from Germany who were
not listed in the original volumes. As I understand it, if German
passengers were less than 50% to 80% of the ships manifests, then they
were not included in the GTA index. I think the listing criteria varied
between the the earlier volumes and the later volumes. It was an
enormous undertaking and has been helpful to me but a more complete
listing of German passengers would be a little more appropriate for a
work entitled GERMANS TO AMERICA.

I am searching for JOHN LINDENBERG(ER) who immigrated with his wife
CHRISTINE about 1853 from Germany. I believe that they had a daughter
born on the voyage or immediately after their arrival. I have several
documents listing New York as the place of birth of a LUSETTA
LINDENBERG. This family settled in the Posey/Vanderburgh Counties of
Southern Indiana. I was lucky enough to find CHRISTIAN LINDENBERG, son
of JOHN listed in GTA when he immigrated many years later and arrived in
the Port of New York on 15 August,1864, aboard a Bark named JENNY.
