As Børge has written, Ole would have taken a Wilson Line ship to Hull, and
embarked on the Allan Line ship from Liverpool or Glasgow. I only have the
schedule for the Quebec arrivals for 1875, but if he was headed to the US
Mid-west, then in 1875, this would be the most likely arrival port.

Ship Name Departure Arrival
PRUSSIAN Liverpool, England [1875-04-22] Quebec, Que. 1875-05-06
& Montreal, Que. 1875-05-09
List Number: 2 ; Another date of arrival appears on manifest as: "7th day
of May 1875"; Gold-headed Cane, Capt. A. Ritchie
SCANDINAVIAN Liverpool, England [1875-04-29] Quebec, Que. 1875-05-11
List Number: 7
WALDENSIAN Glasgow, Scotland [1875-04-27]
Liverpool, England 1875-04-29 Quebec, Que. [1875]-05-14
ListNumber: 9

These ships were all "Montreal Ocean Steamship Company" which was Allan
Line. The first ship would be a little "tight" to fit with your Bergen
departure date. I suppose it _could_ be possible, but I think the others
would be more likely. The LDS do have copies of these arrivals for the
port of Quebec ...
LDS number 0889449 ~ 1874 to 1876 ... the ships will appear on the reel
in order of their arrival. The list numbers should be written prominantly
on the front of the manifest.

Good luck,

Sue
