Subject: [TSL] 1740's & 1750's Ships/Passengers to Va. area from Scotland/Ireland

I am searching for information concerning the MCALEXANDER family who settled
in Patrick County Va. in mid- 1750's. I suspect voyage was between 1752 and
1756 as their 1st land grant was in 1756.
Father was James McAlexander, with wife and 4 sons. I have visited all the
posted web sites with ships and passengers, and have been unable to locate a
ship that may have landed Va.,Phil., or Md. about this time. Origin would be
from Ireland ( Derry ) or Scotland. Family is well documented in Va.
beginning with land grants in 1756. Any help you could provide would be
appreciated.
