Subject: [TSL] SS Paul (St Paul? ) France> New York 05 Nov 1910 arrival
Date: Mon, 20 Mar 2000 07:47:58 -0600
Good morning,
I have a bit of a puzzle concerning the subject ship. My foster grandmother
states on her naturalization papers that she arrived in New York on the SS
Paul 05 November 1910 under the name of Angele FOURNIER, having departed
from Cherbourg, France.
I could find no reference to SS Paul, but did find such an arrival date on
the Cimorelli site for the St. Paul. Do you think I would be safe in
assuming that this was the correct ship?
If anyone has access to that passenger list, I would appreciate any
information you could share with me concerning Angele FOURNIER. This surname
was her first marriage, of which I know nothing; so I cannot tell you if she
was in a group or alone. She was born 1881 in France, so would have been 29.
She eventually settled in Illinois, USA; but I am not sure if that was her
original destination.
(I did read the information you have on your very informative web-site about
the St. Paul.)
Thank you for any help you can give.
