Relax -- it is the right ship. As Marj said, ships would arrive Halifax
(winter) and Quebec (summer). There were four Halifax arrivals in 1884 --
three early in the year and one late in the year. The ship continued from
Halifax to Portland and/or Baltimore.
C-4512 IS a Halifax reel and it looks to me like you got your info from
inGeneas http://www.ingeneas.com -- I do know that inGeneas has begun
indexing the Halifax arrivals from 1881-1900. You can either order the
record from inGeneas, borrow the film from the National Archives of Canada
OR the LDS -- lots of choice!
LDS number 0889430 ~ 1883 to 1884 -- port of Halifax.
Good luck!
Sue
