Am searching for any information on the ship "Bessel" that my Gr-Gr-Grandfather Carl RAMMELSBERG, and his cousin Alfons RAMMELSBERG arrived to America (New Orleans) from Germany (Bremen) on 19 Nov 1855. Information I am seeking is date of Embarkation from Bremen, Passenger list, and any information regarding the ship "Bessel".

I did a search for this ship on "ShipSearch" and the only "hit" I got was a Statement concerning the ship "S/S Hero"; telling of how the S/S Hero was "Badly damaged in collision on June 22nd 1895 with the Lamport & Holt ship "Bessel" in the English Channel,..." Is this the same "Bessel" my Gr-Gr-Grandfather Immigrated on? Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.
