Greetings,

This is my first posting to the list. I'm trying to find the ships my
grandparents came to the USA on. They ended up in Boston, but I obviously
don't know the port of entry. I'm not certain if the list is able to assist
with this type of querry, so just let me know if this is out of the scope
for the list.

Documents/research to date: Marriage certificate, 1900 and 1920 censuses,
visits/index lookups at Waltham regional office, visit to MA state archives,
Internet browsing/searching.

Grandfather: Edwin J. MEERE. Came from England to ?Boston between 1893 and
1895. Born. Aug, 1872, England (have family background). Married Oct.
1895, Boston.
He's in the 1881/91 British Censuses with his family in England. His
children thought he immigrated abt. 1893. Per marriage certificate, 1900
and 1920 censuses it was 1895. In the 1920 census he's noted as Pa, which
I've been told indicates he filed papers for naturalization. We don't think
he was actually naturalized.

Grandmother: Margaret J. WHALEN. Came from Ireland to ?Boston. Married
Oct. 1895, Boston. Parents James WHALEN/Mary DALEY. I'm pretty sure her
father was also here, but I don't know about her mother or any other
siblings. This is really confusing.
Per family information:Born Aug 2, 1872, Waterford and came to US abt.
1880.
Conflicting data:b. 1875, Cambridge; b. 1873 Ireland, arrived 1887; b.
1880 Ireland, arrived 1885
