On 26 March 2001 Martin asked where he might get a birth record for his great
grandfather Patrick J. Vesey born in 1959 in Ireland. A good place to try
would be the Heritage Centers in County Laois and/or County Offaly. Many
members of the Vesey family came from these two counties. He could try
http:\\laois.local.ie, and hit "genealogy." I did, and found an old message
from someone named Cheryl Buxbaum also looking for a Patrick Vesey on 22 May
2000, with her e-mail address as . A few others were looking
for Vesey people. A good guess is that he might have been born around
Abbelleix in County Laois. Some famous Vesey family members came from
Abbelleix.
