Hi Julie,
I'm probably not the best one to ask, that's why I'm going to post this to
the TSL list, I hope that's OK, You wouldn't be the first to ask about rich
text. The post that I did in Rich Text was, Thankfully, intercepted by the
TSL staff. I realized what after I had hit send. I've only recently learned
what 'rich text'is. I think that since your on AOL you really won't have to
worry with it unless you change the AOL settings. I have both AOL and MSN,
although I prefer MSN because everything is on the same page and I don't
have to search for the settings. I'm sure there is a techninal way to
explain this, but this is my way. Rich text is the one that you can 'play
with' in e-mail, like making fonts different colors and all sorts of
different sizes, add pictures, background colors and I'm sure much more.
While your writting, it will look completly normal to you, Although
unfortunatly, it reeks havoc on e-mail lists and adds all kinds of return
marks and 'track' marks. But if your writting in 'rich text' the list staff
will let you know. It's like when your in Microsoft Word,(I think it's
'Track Changes' but I'm not sure) and you want to see how many times you hit
return from one paragraph to the next or where all the tabs are. I hope I'm
explaining this OK. Plain or simple text is just that 'plain', It writes
from one thing to the next in just simple writting. I hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Antonette
