I have a problem in that one of my ancestors was listed as having
left Germany on two ships, both of which came into the port of
Galveston,Texas in the June quarter of 1858. I bought a book with passenger
manifests for Galveston, but one of the ships that several of my ancestors
were listed as having traveled on, this book only gave very few passengers.
How could someone find out whether the ship Brig Wiser had any problems thus
passengers had to change ships. It seems that there are entire families who
were listed on the Wiser in Ethel Hander Geue's book, instead were again
listed as having arrived on the ship Wilhelm. Both of these ships were in
port at the same time.
Thanks very much,
Gwendalynn Gohlke Dunn
