Shelly <> asked about the ship Owego? It arrived
in New York from Liverpool on August 28, 1854.

As Sue Swiggum noted, this was the Oswego; here is the arrival report
from the New York Times, August 29, 1854 (microfilm)
Arrived New York, August 28
Ship Oswego, [captain] Stevens, Liverpool 34 ds with mdse and
432 passengers to [agents] Sturges, Clearman & Co.

Unfortunately a barebones report; the Oswego was an American owned
vessel.
