There is a story in the Toronto Star today (Feb/16); about
a project involving the restoration of a sailing ship that was
used in the irish emigration between the years 1848 - 1855.
The ship was called the Jeanie Johnston and she made stops
at Quebec, New York and Baltimore. The ship is scheduled
to leave Tralee, Ireland some time today. The above web site
provides a lot more info, and also keeps track of its voyage
across the Atlantic. It will be stopping at several American
seaports along the eastern seaboard.

Also, the Toronto Star is asking for anybody who had ancestors
on this ship to email them at:

Toronto Star web site: www.thestar.com

George.
