Many thanks for your reply, I will go to my local library and see if they can do a loan

I really appreciate your kind reply.

It has taken the family 100 years to find out that my 3 times gt grandfather was born in Quebec city in 1808. It would be wonderful to be able to find out more about this period in his parents life.
My mother and her brother tried back in 1926 but could not at that time have been able to make the connection.

sadly my mother and my uncle did not live long enough to know we have found them but we have several cousins in their 80's who are very excited about the progress we have made.
