I have searched for 2 years for any information regarding my gggrandfather,
David Gillespie, his wife, Isabelle (Jenny), and their 6 children, James
Laird, Albert, Minnie, Sylvia, Winslow and Roy. I do not know the exact
date of immigation, however it is believed that James Laird Gillespie, born
1879, was born in Scotland. Therefore, immigation was after this date. I
have a family photo of the Gillespies taken in 1896 in Orangeville,Canada.
I am searching for any information regarding their immigation from
Scotland/Ireland to Canada. James Laird Gillespie, my ggrandfather, had a
very impressive business in Pittsburgh, Pa. under the name of the J. L.
Gillespie Co. (printing and envelopes) from the 1920's through the 1950's.
I have searched everywhere on the web and can find no information on this
business or his existance either.

I have already joined Ancestory.com (the entire membership) and have
searched countless other avenues and engines, without any success,
including but not limited to the web page for The Church of Latter Day
Saints. Not one of the family members listed above is found anywhere.


Can anyone help or advise where else I should look. I appreciate all input!!
