Hello
I am trying to research the history of the above company. I believe they
operated from Sunderland between around 1886 and 1913. Other related
companies may be J.Taylor and son Ship Brokers , and J.Taylor Coal Exporter.
Ships in their fleet included The Coronation which ran aground off
Ravenscar, Yorkshire in 1913 and the Peeress. Ships Masters who worked for
the company included JJ Reed Born 1854,NT Phillips born 1856,J.Waters born
1864, and CE Taylor born 1868- all in Sunderland.
Addresses for the company include - 116 High St West , 28 Bridge St and 34
West Sunnyside- all Sunderland.
I'd be grateful of any info you can provide on this company, particularly
the years in which they were in business, links to other subsequent
companies and ,ideally, the whereabouts of company records.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Matthew Lightfoot
