Germans from Russia are usually listed in the Migration from the
Russian Empire series (also called "Russians to America"). You can read
about the series here...
Russians to America 1850-1896
Also, the major US ports of arrival all have indexes for your 1880s
Finding Passenger Lists 1820-1940s (arrivals at US Ports)
New York and Baltimore were both often used by German-Russian
immigrants. You might also have a Canadian arrival.
