I suggested that the Gondar may have made only one voyage to New York
(based on information on Peter McDonald's Magellan site).
I later found a history of the Gondar on Michael Palmer's site:
<http://www.geocities.com/mppraetorius>;.
This states that the Gondar operated into New York as a packet ship
for several years on different routes and mentions two specific
voyages.
