Dear List:

My grandfather's first paper lists him arriving on the Hermann from Bremen to
New York in April of 1888.

His naturalization says that he departed Bremen on March 17, 1888, and
arrived Baltimore on April 2, 1888.

Did the ship go to Baltimore and then to New York? Where would the passenger
list be? Baltimore or New York? Were passengers dropped off at both places?
