Hi Lists
I have just found out that my Ggrandmother--her 2 sons and possibly my
Grandmother were on the ship China that arrived in NY 5 Oct. 1874 from
Liverpool England--they are all from the Barnsley Yorkshire Co area

There names--Ann Scales age 42--my Ggrm--George Scales age 25--my
GF--Walter Scales age 11--son of Ann and brother to George and Mary Scales
age 26 --possibly my GM--there ages are close to what birth cert. I have
found so I feel this is good info

Ann and son Walter remained in the US for awhile for I have found them in
the 1880 US census---but George and Mary must of returned to England for I
have found them in the 1881 UK census along with 4 kids one of which is my
father age 3 in 1881

I guess what I am seeking---is there something in the Ships List Archives
that will show me the CHINA and it's passenger lists for that arrival of 5
Oct 1874?
Any Ideas as to how I might search for the return trip to England of George
and Mary?
Subscribing to Ancestry. com and others who charge a fee is out of the
question for me
May have other questions but hope these will get me started
